Funding your studies

Scholarships Shouldn't Be a Lottery

Most students never claim the awards they already qualify for. Medly screens every application against 300+ live schemes — automatically, and free.

RM 41 million unlocked and counting

Scholarship money in Malaysia is not scarce — it is scattered. University merit awards, sibling discounts, alumni bursaries, state foundations, corporate sponsorships: each with its own form, deadline and fine print.

Your Medly advisor keeps this map current for a living. When we submit your course application, the matching scholarship paperwork travels with it, so the award decision arrives together with your offer letter — not after you've already paid a deposit.

  • Merit scholarships from 25% to 100% of tuition, tiered by SPM/STPM/UEC results.
  • Needs-based bursaries that stack on top of merit awards at many campuses.
  • High-achiever awards for sports, arts, debate and community leadership.
  • Early-bird and referral rebates most applicants simply never hear about.

How we maximise your award

The Medly scholarship method

  1. Profile scan

Results, co-curricular record, household situation and intended field — matched against every live scheme in our database.

  2. Stack & compare

We calculate the net fee at each shortlisted university after every stackable award, so you compare real prices, not brochure prices.

  3. Apply in parallel

Scholarship forms, essays and interview prep are handled alongside your admission — one timeline, no missed deadlines.

  4. Negotiate

Holding two offers? Universities regularly improve awards for strong candidates. We ask, so you don't have to.

Know before you apply

Scholarship questions we hear every week

My results are average — is it still worth applying?

Yes. Merit tiers at many private universities start around 5As at SPM or a CGPA of 3.0, and needs-based bursaries, early-bird rebates and talent awards don't depend on grades at all. Almost every Medly student qualifies for something.

Do scholarships cover living costs too?

Most Malaysian university awards cover tuition only, but several government and corporate schemes include allowances. For study abroad, awards like Chevening cover flights, tuition and a living stipend. Your advisor will flag which applies to you.

Are there bonds or strings attached?

University merit awards usually just require you to maintain a CGPA (commonly 3.0–3.5). Sponsored schemes from GLCs and foundations may carry service bonds — we always put the conditions in writing before you accept.

Can I apply for scholarships after I've already enrolled?

A few internal awards accept current students, but the biggest money is only available at admission. That is precisely why we file scholarship paperwork together with your application, never after.

Does Medly take a cut of my scholarship?

Never. Awards are paid by the university or sponsor directly against your tuition account. Medly is paid a placement fee by the university, which does not change with your scholarship outcome.
