Return & Refund Policy
Last revised: 2 June 2026
Medly Education Advisory Sdn. Bhd. does not charge students or families for its counselling and placement services, so in the ordinary course there is no payment to Medly to return or refund. This page explains the situations that do involve money, and what you can expect from us in each.
1. Payments to Medly
Our consultations, Course Match reports, application handling and scholarship screening are free of charge. If you were ever asked to pay anyone claiming to represent Medly, do not pay — report it to [email protected] immediately so we can act on it. Should Medly ever introduce an optional paid service, its refund terms will be stated in writing before you pay, and those written terms will prevail.
2. Deposits and tuition paid to institutions
Registration deposits, tuition and other institutional fees are always paid by you directly to the university or college. Refunds of those amounts are governed by that institution's refund policy, not by Medly. Policies vary widely: some deposits are fully refundable if a visa is refused, others are partly or wholly non-refundable once the intake starts.
What we commit to: your advisor will (a) show you the institution's refund schedule before you pay any deposit, (b) flag non-refundable items clearly, and (c) if you later need to claim a refund, prepare and chase the request with the institution on your behalf at no charge.
3. Visa refusals and missed intakes
Where a student visa is refused or an intake is missed, most partner institutions offer either a deferral to the next intake or a refund less an administrative fee, on production of the refusal letter. We handle the paperwork for whichever option you choose.
4. Scholarship clawbacks
Some scholarships convert to a debt if a student withdraws mid-programme or falls below the required grade average. These conditions are highlighted in writing during your Course Match review, before you accept any award through us.
5. Third-party services
Fees paid to third parties we may refer you to at your request — English test centres, translators, medical screening clinics, embassies — are subject to those providers' own refund terms. Government and embassy fees are generally non-refundable regardless of outcome.
6. Complaints
If you believe we handled a refund matter poorly, email [email protected] with "Refund complaint" in the subject line. A senior counsellor not involved in your case will review it and reply within 7 working days.
