This page explains how medly.help uses cookies and similar browser storage. We keep the list deliberately short — this is a counselling service, not an ad network.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember something about you between pages or visits. Related technologies such as localStorage work similarly; we cover them all under "cookies" here.

Cookies we set

• Session cookie (PHPSESSID). Strictly necessary. Keeps your enquiry form secure (it carries the anti-forgery token) while you move between pages. Deleted when you close your browser.
• Consent record (mdly_consent). Strictly necessary. Remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies so we do not ask you on every visit. Stored in your browser's localStorage until you clear it.
• Analytics cookies. Optional, set only if you choose "Accept" on the cookie banner. They tell us, in aggregate, which guides and pages students find useful. Rejecting them does not change anything about the service you receive.

Choosing and changing your preference

On your first visit a banner offers "Accept" and "Reject". After you choose, a small round cookie button stays in the corner of every page — click it any time to change your answer. You can also clear cookies and site data through your browser settings, which resets the banner.

Third parties

Our pages load web fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers but does not set cookies on this site. We do not embed social media trackers or advertising pixels.
